Nay El Hachem

MANAGING PARTNER

Nay Assaf El Hachem, who has been an appellate lawyer since 2002 and in private practice since 2011, has a law degree from Saint Joseph University. Before starting her private practice, she contributed to the family office in 1997 and was a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Lebanese University from 2004 to 2014.

Nay has garnered experience in civil, real estate, and commercial law throughout her career. She has collaborated with Lebanese companies across various sectors, including industry, engineering, subcontracting, architecture, design, advertising, media, and consumer goods.

Nay is not only a legal consultant but also an active member of several civil and social development associations. She focuses on economic, social, and health development. Dedicated to enhancing the role of the private sector in Lebanon, she recognizes its significance to the national economy.

Currently, Nay holds the position of Secretary General at the Epsilon Medical and Social Association for Epilepsy, dedicated to addressing the needs of individuals with Epilepsy.

Amal Assaf El Hachem

Amal El Hachem holds a Bachelor’s in Law from Saint Joseph University in Beirut and a Certificate in Human Rights from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. She is a seasoned legal professional proficient in Arabic, French, and English, bringing a diverse range of legal expertise to our firm.

With practical experience gained through work at various law offices, including The Levant Lawyers in Beirut, Amal has specialized in multiple fields, particularly civil, real estate, criminal, and commercial law. Additionally, she has demonstrated proficiency in financial assessment for corporate clients and holds ample experience in company establishment across various industries.

Amal has also played a pivotal role in establishing several non-governmental organizations, showcasing her commitment to social causes beyond traditional legal practice.

Sakher El Hachem

Sakher Boutros El Hachem, the Founder and Partner of Hachem & Daaboul Law Firm, brings over thirty years of experience as a Solicitor and Barrister. As a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 1993, his extensive knowledge is shaped by his active involvement in various legal pursuits.

His expertise includes corporate and commercial law (limited companies, holding companies, offshore companies, public limited companies, oil and gas), banking and finance law, administrative law, real estate law, criminal law, and arbitration and litigation.

Sakher holds a Bachelor of Law from the Lebanese University and is proficient in Arabic, French, and English.

Claude El Hachem

Claude El Hachem, a Holy University of Kaslik graduate in 1993, has been a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 1994. She is fluent in French, English, and Arabic and boasts over 29 years of legal practice across diverse fields.

Her expertise spans extensive research in civil and commercial cases under Lebanese and comparative law. Claude has provided valuable legal opinions to transnational corporations, addressing issues with their local agents. Additionally, she is adept at drafting commercial contracts and corporate documents and preparing memos.

Claude’s broad experience includes representing the Lebanese University in numerous administrative and judicial proceedings, showcasing her advocacy and legal counsel proficiency.

Nada-Mehanna

Nada Mehanna

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Nada Mansour Mehanna, a lawyer admitted to the Beirut Bar, holds a law degree from the University of the Holy Spirit in Kaslik. She is fluent in Arabic, French, and English and brings a wealth of legal expertise to our team.

With over ten years of experience, Nada has served as a legal consultant for Rasamni Younis Automotive Company and Daewoo Automotive Company. Her expertise includes analyzing performance files and presenting reservations, particularly before the Special Court for the Execution of Automotive Contracts.

Nada worked as a three-year legal consultant at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Her expertise includes establishing trade unions, drafting and implementing employment contracts, and forming various companies.

Roula Khalil

Roula Khalil

AFFILIATE LEGAL COUNSEL

Dr. Roula Khalil holds a PhD in International Labor Law from the University of Nantes (France) and two Master’s degrees in Fundamental Human Rights and Human Rights Ethics from the same institution. She also obtained a private law degree from Saint Joseph University (USJ) and has been a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 1998.

As a senior legal consultant, Dr. Khalil offers her expertise in Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan. She specializes in civil, corporate, and international affairs, including international contracts, global negotiations, and corporate law for multinational companies.

Dr. Khalil has served as a legal consultant to the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), contributing to assignments related to legislative decrees, analysis of the Lebanese legal framework on child rights, and drafting the by-laws for the Lebanese National Commission on enforced disappearances. She also acts as a legal consultant to international NGOs, focusing on access to justice and social accountability for vulnerable children in Lebanon.

Active in international and regional consultations concerning human rights and child rights, Dr. Khalil has played a crucial role in the legal review of the Lebanese Human Rights National Plan.

Manal Majed

Manal Majed

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Manal Majed serves as an Associate at El Hachem Law Firm and is an appellate lawyer registered with the Beirut Bar Association, bringing over 15 years of experience. She is also a member of the Arab Franchise Association, specializing in civil litigation, contract drafting, and franchise consultancy.

Beyond her legal expertise, Manal Majed is a dedicated advocate for human rights and a gender expert. She has been active in Lebanon’s NGO sector for over a decade and is an activist and legal consultant for developmental management. She currently leads the legal department at the Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering (RDFL), a feminist and secular organization committed to safeguarding women’s rights in Lebanon.

Passionate about supporting women and children’s rights, Manal has actively contributed to the rapid response to gender-based violence (GBV) and sexual gender-based violence (SGBV). Her advocacy extends to lobbying for legislation preventing the marriage of minors under 18 years of age.

As a compelling public speaker, Manal conducts training-of-trainers sessions for lawyers and field case workers, focusing on protective laws to empower social justice.

May El Hachem

TRAINEE LAWYER

May El Hachem, representing the firm’s third generation of lawyers, graduated with a Bachelor’s in Law from Université Saint Joseph in Beirut, specializing in business law.

Pursuing a dual degree in International Law and finance at ESCP Business School in Paris and Queen Mary University in London, May focused her thesis on the Arbitration of International M&A transactions.

She successfully passed the entry to the bar exam in Beirut and gained valuable experience through an internship at Jones Day, working within the global disputes practice in Paris.

Now, May has transitioned into a law clerk position at Morgan Lewis UAE, specializing in global disputes and litigation.
